PPPA Members, this is the "FINAL" Community Park Forum for the planning of the new Coleman Park on the Eastside of Colorado Springs. With the proper support the pickleball community could possibly gain up to 20 "New" Pickleball Courts. Please come out and support and wear your PPPA Name Tag & Gear!

  PPPA RECEIVES $1000 COMMUNITY PARTNER DONATION FROM SCHEELS

As part of the SCHEELS 2022 end-of-year Giving Campaign, they selected our PPPA nonprofit organization to receive a $1000 donation.  The SCHEELS Community Relations Lead, Shannyn Wong, stated that this was awarded to PPPA "because of the wonderful work our organization is doing that positively impacts the Colorado Springs Community and that we are so grateful to have the opportunity to help support your mission." She indicated that they received a number of community inputs as part of their Giving Campaign praising the efforts of PPPA.  

Note that SCHEELS has been an annual PREMIER Corporate Sponsor of PPPA and most recently served as the Tournament Sponsor for the 2022 Colorado Pickleball Open--Pikes Peak or Bust conducted this last September at MVP.  They have also committed to again sponsor our 2023 Colorado Pickleball Open--Pikes Peak or Bust tournament event this coming August 11-13.

We ask our Membership to please take every opportunity when visiting their Colorado Springs store location to thank SCHEELS staff members and management for being such a great Community partner and for their truly outstanding support of organization.

 THE CANCELATION POLICY FOR RR, LADDER PLAY, GP, BEGINNING LESSONS

PPPA Members, 

The upcoming months may present cancelations of our plans and here is the cancelation policy for the education programs:

• Temperature 40 degrees or below factoring in the windchill forecasted. 
• Any type of moisture on the courts, rain, ice, snow, etc. 
• Wind speeds of 20 or more forecasted. 
• Lightning within 5 miles from your courts, once we stop for a lightning delay, please do not restart until 30 minutes from the last lightning strike. 
• Any other dangerous conditions that may come up in the course of play. 
• We cancel for the safety of all PPPA members. 
• Once the activity is canceled, players may play at their own risk. 
• If your coordinator cancels a program, please respect their decision.
