PPPA – WEEKLY EMAIL BLAST
In this week's blast:
EL PASO COUNTY PARKS & REC SNOW/ICE POLICY FOR BEAR CREEK PARK
The EL PASO COUNTY Parks & Recreation Department has the following policy during the winter months. If after a snowstorm, there is “any” snow and/or ice present on “any” of the courts at Bear Creek Park, the courts will be “LOCKED” until “ALL” of the snow and/or ice has melted from “ALL” 12 courts. When the courts are locked, they will raise a “RED” flag on the flagpole, and when they are unlocked, they will raise a “GREEN” flag on the flagpole. Unfortunately, they witnessed players kicking the gates and attempting to break into the courts when they were locked after this most recent snowstorm. They have asked that we send a reminder of this policy. The courts are still under warranty so any attempts to remove snow and/or ice from the courts will void the warranty on the courts. Please note that they are not saying that any PPPA members are attempting to violate this policy. We ask that all players that enjoy this beautiful facility please adhere to the policy so that the pickleball community can continue to enjoy this awesome facility.
