    This Thursday, the Coleman Community Forum # 2 will be held at Sand Creek High School. It is 

    CRITICAL that we have another huge PPPA presence to physically give our feedback on the initial park concepts, and also participate in the online survey when it comes out. 

    This is a MUST ATTEND EVENT if we are to get pickleball courts into the Master Plan for the Park.

      2022 COLORADO PICKLEBALL OPEN--PIKES PEAK OR BUST TOURNAMENT 


    On behalf of Pikes Peak Pickleball Association (PPPA) and United States Senior Pickleball (USSP), we would like to thank all of the players who endured a full day's rain delay to participate in the first Colorado Pickleball Open--Pikes Peak or Bust Tournament. Despite having to cancel an entire day of play you all came to play with patience, vigor and enthusiasm, making for some outstanding competitive matches. We would also like to thank our tournament sponsor SCHEELS Sporting Goods of Colorado Springs and our many other valued sponsors: the El Pomar Foundation, Springs Pickleball, Harvey Investments, Ms. Roberta Loughman of Re/Max, Dr. Todd Pickle of Pickle Prosthodontics, BJ's Velvet Freeze, SELKIRK Sport, Ent Credit Union, Ms. Ali Muno of Rocky Peak Homes Real Estate & Gearbox Pickleball, Karrie and Mark of Colonel Mustard's Sandwich Emporium, Mr. Joe Coleman of Blue Star Group Restaurants, Orthopedic Rehab Associates, Amari Botanicals, the Colorado Springs Visitors Bureau (VisitCOS), Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services, El Paso County Parks Department, and the Sign Shop Ltd..

We would also like to thank our special guests: City Council President, Mr. Tom Strand, State Representative and Retired Master Fire Chief, Mr. Tony Exum, for providing opening remarks for our September 11 Memorial. 

    We would also like to thank Mr. Daniel Stephens for singing the National Anthem on opening day, as well as Mr. David Munoz, for his awesome rendition of the Nation Anthem on his electric guitar "Jimmy Hendrix" style for our September 11 Memorial.

    PPPA will be dedicating all funds raised from this event towards our efforts to assist the El Paso County Parks Department in building 6 additional dedicated pickleball courts and 2 tennis courts, dual striped for pickleball at the Bear Creek Park Facility.

    The intent of the singles ladder will be to provide a way for players who enjoy singles to do so in a fun, competitive, organized, social way.  It will be modeled after the doubles ladder run by Meg Duncan, with a few modifications to better accommodate singles play.
