PPPA – WEEKLY EMAIL BLAST

In this week's blast:

THE PPPA WELCOMES OUR NEW PREMIER SPONSOR: SPRINGS PICKLEBALL

We are very happy to announce that we have a new Premier Sponsor, Springs Pickleball!  Springs Pickleball, LLC is an up-coming, premiere, indoor pickleball club featuring 25,000 sq/ft, 8 indoor courts with outdoor finishes, a pro-shop, a player’s lounge called “The Patio”, a gym, a dinking practice room, and multiple private party rooms. They are opening in October of 2022.

Thank you for joining our pickleball community!

The PPPA Board and all of our members

IT IS ILLEGAL TO CHARGE FOR LESSONS WITHOUT A PERMIT

The El Paso County Parks and Recreation Staff has been spot checking individuals who are charging for lessons at the Bear Creek Regional Park pickleball courts to ensure they have obtained the necessary authorizations. The County has a permit process in place which allows individuals to teach for profit while utilizing public facilities. Those that choose to disregard this process are in violation of the El Paso County Parks Rules and Regulations. They run the risk of being charged for these violations. This reflects poorly on our pickleball community, and we ask that all players respect the process that the County has put in place. If you decide to take private lessons, please require that the individual you select to be your instructor produce the appropriate documentation that authorizes them to do so legally.

It’s extremely disappointing that we must restate this to our pickleball community.  However, when people choose to ignore the rules, they negatively impact both the park system and the other patrons utilizing the facilities.

For more information, please review the relevant park rules and regulations:
