PPPA – WEEKLY EMAIL BLAST
In this week's blast:
NATIONWIDE REQUESTS FOR PPPA OUTREACH
As part of PPPA's "Promote the Sport of Pickleball" Mission, your Board of Directors receives and assists in multiple nationwide requests each year from new start-up Pickleball groups and even local government agencies seeking advice on how PPPA has successfully built one of the largest and fastest growing Associations in the Country. PPPA has just topped 1500 registered members up 150% from 600 in August 2016 when the new Pickleball courts were dedicated at Monument Valley Park, and the meager 75 members we had when we created our original 501(c)3 nonprofit organization back in 2012. Our growth is a direct result of our outstanding programs and the many committees and dedicated volunteers who contribute countless selfless hours to help serve our members.
Your Board Promotes our Sport not only through our education and training programs, but also through conduct of amateur tournaments, and helping to reduce the financial burdens of local City and County governments by co-funding local court development and improvements. Nationwide outreach support has also become another very important promotion opportunity for our Association. Since our beginning, our Association has 'been there, done that' enough times to have practical and common-sense recommendations, and have built essential partnerships and proven processes that can help to better inform folks who are just getting started where we were 10 years ago. Since 2013, we have provided direct assistance and advice to dozens of start-up organizations from across Colorado and across the US including Alaska:
They consistently reach out to our Board based on our website and our outstanding member-focused programs, our success with delivering new Pickleball courts, associated local and national news articles, past tournament participation, and word-of-mouth.
Congratulations PPPA, your organization's good reputation is out there and is being emulated by many others Nationwide.
