EDUCATION & TRAINING PROGRAM UPDATE
The Education and Training Department would like to announce some new opportunities for our members. The first was the launch of a second level 3.5 Round Robin this past week. If successful, this round robin will be held weekly at Bear Creek on Thursdays from 2-4. In addition, we are about to start offering the new programs Beginning Round Robin and Beginning Ladder Play.

Where: Pavilion east of the Pickleball courts, Monument Valley Park
Purpose:
- To introduce new members to play at Monument Valley Park, and the Pickleball community
- To help new members gain an understanding of how the PPPA organization works and introduce new members to our governing board and Round Robin Coordinators.
- To inform new members of additional playing opportunities!
This is also an excellent opportunity to meet other new members - so please wear your name badge! (Replacement badges are $6, and can be ordered through: membership@pikespeakpickleball.com)

REGISTRATION OPENS TODAY FOR THE COLORADO OPEN--PIKES PEAK OR BUST
We are proud to announce that on Sunday May 1st registration will begin for the 2022 Colorado Open--Pikes Peak or Bust tournament co-hosted by US Senior Pickleball (USSP) and the Pikes Peak Pickleball Association. This 3-day event at Monument Valley Park from September 9-11 will be a round-robin format in Women's, Men's and Mixed Doubles as well as Singles. This format will maximize the number of games played for Skill Groups 3.0 to 5.0 and Ages 18 to 80. Note that this is a combined all-age event to include Ages 18-49 in addition to USSP Ages 50-80. Our Tournament Sponsor is SCHEELS of Colorado Springs along with event support provided by VisitCOS. This USSP West Zone tournament includes Colorado and 12 other western States and will be a great opportunity particularly for our newer members to experience this PPPA heritage PPoB event. Please see the links below and there will be much more to follow on this new exciting PPPA partnership with USSP.
