PPPA – WEEKLY EMAIL BLAST
In this week's blast:
BEAR CREEK PICKLEBALL COURTS CLOSURE ON: 29 OCT 2021
The pickleball courts at Bear Creek Regional Park will be closed and locked for the entire day Friday, October 29th in order for a contractor to perform work on the concrete walk ways. The El PASO County Parks and Rec will unlock the courts once the work has been completed. The courts are scheduled to be available the morning of Saturday, October 30th if the weather cooperates. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Pikes Peak Pickleball Association per the El Paso County Park & Rec.
We have stated this before, so it should not be necessary to repeat it. Players are NOT allowed to teach for profit on public courts without a VALID permit issued by the Colorado Springs Park & Rec for courts within the City like MVP or Venezia and a permit issued by the El Paso County Parks & Rec for the Bear Creek Park facility. It falls on every player to call out these violations and report offenders to the applicable Parks & Rec office. If you are teaching lessons on public courts and have not applied for a permit we ask that you please abide by the policies and get a permit. The funds for these permits are utilized to fund court up keep, replacing nets, and net straps. If you have any questions please contact the Parks and Rec offices either at Colorado Springs or El Paso County.
