BEE'S AT BEAR CREEK PARK COURTS
WARNING!! We have received word that there has been an issue with Bee's at the Bear Creek Park Courts. The EL Paso County Parks officials have been made aware of the situation and are determining what action to take. There are several residents in the area that have bee hives, so this could be contributing to the increase in bees at the courts. Some things you can do to prevent you or anyone else from being stung are to:
- Do not lean on the fence toppers around the courts
- Do not hang your pickleball bags on the fence surrounding the courts
- Do not jump over the fences to retrieve balls that go to other courts, just walk around or have someone toss it back over
- If you are allergic to bee stings, have the proper medical device handy
We will keep you informed of this situation as it develops, and hopefully no one will get stung.
Also, it has been noticed that the courts are being well maintained by the players who play at the Bear Creek facility. Trash is not being left on the courts and this is appreciated by all who play there.
If you happen to see Mr. Dong Nguyen around the Bear Creek Park Courts, please congratulate him. Dong has selflessly volunteered to serve as the PPPA Board's Special Projects Director, and our point of contact to EL Paso County Parks! Welcome to the PPPA Board, Dong!
