PPPA – WEEKLY EMAIL BLAST

In this week's blast:

       TREES AT VENEZIA PICKLEBALL COURTS

Some time last year, one of our members requested that we inform Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (PRCS) that the trees planted at the Venezia Park courts will be a problem in the future as they grow and produce more leaves.  We certainly understand that and passed that request on to PRCS.

Recently, this member informed us that those trees were removed and that we request they not be replaced.  I contacted Kurt Schroeder, PRCS Park Maintenance and Operations Manager, to again recommend the trees not be replaced and to learn what their plan is.  His response is that they do not currently have a plan to replace them.  If they re-visit that decision, he will take our/your input into consideration. I did not receive a reason for the tree removal.

The PPPA Board of Directors appreciates input from our members and will do our best to communicate with local government agencies to maintain/improve the pickleball venues in our community.
