PPPA – WEEKLY EMAIL BLAST

In this week's blast:

2020 PICKLEBALL LIBRARIAN VIRTUAL AWARD FOR BEST PICKLEBALL CLUB

From the Pickleball Librarian:

Due to COVID-19 conditions, our visits to pickleball clubs were fairly limited this year. The highlight of the year was Pikes Peak Pickleball Association!! Joe Johnson and his team are amazing!!

What an impressive organization with strong leadership and knowledgeable volunteers who are welcoming and passionate about the game make the PPPA so effective in their outreach.

Their extraordinary efforts go beyond just clinics and introducing the game to new players. They provide access to ALL by gifting the community with FREE lessons.

The PPPA goes the extra step with their Guided Play Program to ensure new players receive coaching, level appropriate play, and integration into regular round robin play!!

Their partnership with the community, governmental agencies, and Brand sponsorships to raise money for development of new courts to serve all areas of the city is impressive. The club also has experienced significant growth and now has over 1,400 members.

For their tremendous efforts, we are awarding PPPA the 2020 Pickleball Librarian Virtual Award for Best Pickleball Club!!

This video was taken at the end of their beginning players orientation. What an amazing pickleball organization!!

I look forward to visiting and discovering more of the best-of-the-best clubs next year!

  TRASH, TRASH AND MORE TRASH!

Once again, we ask that players please place your trash in the trash cans that are located at each entrance of the MVP Courts. These trash cans are emptied by Parks & Rec. It is on every person that plays there to place their personal trash in the trash cans that are provided. Leaving empty water bottles, half eaten snacks, paper etc. on the courts or in the paddle up bins is just unacceptable. Please help keep the courts clean by ensuring your trash is properly disposed of in the provided receptacles. The yellow buckets at the courts are for used or crack balls only. They are not there to serve as trash cans or seats for tired butts. If we all pitch in and do the responsible thing by helping to keep the courts clean, it serves us all.

Thank You,

PPPA Board of Directors
