PPPA – WEEKLY EMAIL BLAST

In this week's blast:

   NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

The next New Member Orientation will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 4:30 PM at the pavilion at Monument Valley Park Pickleball Court. The goals of the orientation are as follows:

  • To incorporate our new members into play at MVP and the Pickleball community
  • Gain an understanding of how the PPPA organization works and introduce new members to our governing board
  • To sign up for organized playing opportunities which include those with guided instructions to help improve your PB game

Of course, you will also meet other new members!  Anyone who is struggling (new and old) to get connected in our 1,000-member group should come and find the perfect place to join in.  Going forward these orientations will take place on the first Thursday of each month during our outdoor playing season.  Keep your eyes posted on the website calendar for upcoming events.  If you have your name tag, please wear it.

We do request that until Covid restrictions are lifted that you wear a mask and practice social distancing as much as possible during these orientation sessions.

   REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE

PPPA Members, due to the increased use of the MVP Courts and the many new players that are playing, there has also been an increase in trash being left on and around the courts. Below you will see pictures as an example. As members, who value our great facility, I would ask that you refrain from leaving your trash on the courts. There are trash cans at each entrance to the courts for your use. With that being said, if you happen to see any trash on or around the courts, please take the time to pick it up and dispose of it properly. I’m sure we all would like to assist in maintaining the beauty of the facility that we all enjoy. Also as a reminder, please do not hang any bags on the fences around the courts as we have requested before. If you invite guests or witness this please ask kindly that they are removed.

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this request.

President, Pikes Peak Pickleball Association
